Both Stockbridge & Portobello bars are designed to be like your local - walk in only. However we know that these days folk like to know they have a table when planning their nights out so we now accept bookings for tables of 5+ people with a £50 deposit both in our Private Wine Cellar and Window Tables in both bars, subject to availability.
So for 5+ or if you are interested in booking our Private Wine Cellar (seats up to 14 people) or maybe would like to discuss a bespoke tasting package for a celebration please email (emails monitored Wednesday - Sunday):

Just in case there’s still any doubt though - please do not feel the need to book and please do just walk in, we can always get everyone seated, even if it means a quick drink next door whilst a table finishes up their drink!

We love dogs at Smith & Gertrude (some would say they’re the best company for a glass of wine), but unfortunately our Stockbridge bar isn’t dog friendly inside due to the size and layout of the space.
The good news is that well-behaved pups are very welcome to join you outside in Stockbridge, and our Portobello bar is more than happy to welcome them indoors too. So if your favourite drinking buddy has four legs and a talent for convincing you they deserve a little piece of cheese, bring them along!
A quick note for our younger guests too: while we love welcoming families earlier in the day, we’re unable to have anyone under the age of 18 in either bar after 7pm.
