Delivery & Returns

We currently deliver to:

  • Mainland UK (anywhere outside Edinburgh EH1-17) on Thursday and Fridays

  • Edinburgh (anywhere inside EH1-17) on Thursdays and Fridays

You can select your preferred delivery day when placing your order. Nationwide orders placed after 1pm on Wednesday will be delivered the following Thursday at the earliest. All deliveries outside EH1-17 are made via APC and orders can be tracked at https://apc-overnight.com/receiving-a-parcel/tracking/ Please note, we cannot guarantee a specified delivery day but we do of course do everything we can to get you your delivery on time. If you are ordering for a special/time-sensitive event then we strongly suggest getting delivery a day early just to be safe. We trust our couriers, but that doesn't mean they're not prone to the odd mistake / delay!

UK Shipping & Collections

Delivery within mainland UK is a flat-rate £10, which is waived on orders of over £75. We do not currently ship to the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland, the Highlands and Islands.

Returns 

Returns of unopened, properly kept items can be made up to 28 days after purchase. We'll of course cover the cost of return shipping costs if we made a mistake! For wines deemed faulty please call the shop ASAP on 0131 629 6280 to speak to a member of the team.

To start a return just contact us at hello@smithandgertrude.com. Assuming your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return cannot be accepted unfortunately.

Non-returnable items

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift vouchers.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
